Sorry, I do not mean the packet data, but the commands as in the manual:
e.g.
SimpleSerial commands
Command Description
!<data> Send raw packet
@<cmt> Send location update (cmt = optional comment)
#<msg> Send APRS message
c<call> Set your callsign
d<call> Set destination callsign
ect.ect.

Make sure your lf/cr settings are correct. I had a bit of problems with that before.

I use putty serial on a windows pc.
As soon a i type c i get a unknown command message.
Just a c         no cr or lf or sp.

Experiment with those settings. I remember imhad the same problems, but they where solved with one click somewhere. I used putty as well.

If you get an "Unknown command" as soon as you type in the c, it means that your terminal program is sending out the data as you type. It should wait until you press enter to send it. There should be a setting for this somewhere, but I don't know Putty very well.

Now i can do more testing.
I am looking for a simple TNC2 non KISS replacement to connect to my digipeater to change some settings.
What version of your firmware do you recommend?
