We recently had four little geeselings move into our farm, and they needed a hut to keep them safe from the elements, and also provide heat in the first few weeks of their life, so we decided to build the a geodesic dome. It was actually a lot easier to build than we had thought, and a lot of fun too! Calculators for figuring out the correct strut lengths are readily available on the internet. Two different lengths of struts were cut, and we assembled the connectors from standard metal band and some nuts and bolts. All of it was then assembled. It took a little over 2 hours to put it together. Here’s a timelapse of the assembly:

It also looks quite awesome at night with the heater lamp turned on!
